Some background. Did you know that, since launching LaborUnionNews.com in January, we’ve posted over 3,500 hand-curated, categorized news articles, posted 20 episodes of Labor Relations Radio, and broken exclusive stories?
We’ve brought more than a few stories to our readers that many otherwise would not have known about were they not subscribers to our News Digest.
Now, like you (probably), I’m not a huge fan of paid online subscriptions, which is why we’ve worked hard to keep LaborUnionNews.com’s subscription prices extremely affordable for our readers.
The Vision: Crowdfunding to Keep Costs Low For More Subscribers
Our goal is to provide a news hub for anyone and everyone who is interested in news about today’s unions, from Human Resources professionals and labor attorneys to unions.
As an aggregator as well as producer of content, our goal is not to be one of those billionaire-owned publications who charges exorbitant fees to readers.
That said, in order to bring news and views about today’s unions to readers like you, we often have to subscribe to other pay-walled news sites to bring article links to you.
Recently, I started looking into the subscription costs of some of the more “professional” news services and was shocked(!) by their subscription prices.
Before I share those subscription prices with you, consider this:
At LaborUnionNews.com, you can subscribe for:
$10 per month;
$100 per year (or $8.33 per month);
Or, if you have four or more subscribers, the group rate is $75 per year, per person ($6.25 per month), which is perfect for larger HR departments, law firms, or unions (see below)
Individual Subscription Rate:
Group Subscription Rate:
Now, let’s do some comparisons, shall we?
Here’s one for only $1500 per year… 🙄
And, although this is one of our favorite go-to online resources, their subscription cost is too cost prohibitive… 😳😳
What you can do:
LaborUnionNews.com is only four months old and, while our growth rate is great, you can help us continue growing by doing three things:
First, share our posts. It’s really easy. Just click on the share button on any of our posts, or forward the emails you receive.
Second, if you’re a free subscriber, upgrade your account. As we continue growing, we are and will continue to be posting more paid-subscriber only content and you won’t want to miss it.
Third, if you see an article that we missed, be sure to let us know through our Tip Line.
Now, with all that said, I’d like to add one other thing:
Thank you for being a subscriber!
