On Strike Since September, Teamsters Announce Big Foot Beverages Boycott

Teamsters Local 206 and 324 are calling for Oregon residents to boycott Bigfoot Beverages, one of the largest soft drink and alcohol distributors in the state. Members of Teamsters Local 206 and 324 began an unfair labor practice strike against Bigfoot Beverages on September 19 after the company attempted to unlawfully eliminate a core pension benefit and lied to the bargaining committee during contract negotiations.

Dow Chemical workers approved contract offer, end strike

Dozens of union Dow Chemical workers approved an updated contract offer Thursday evening, ending their work strike. The agreement ends a 10-day strike that started on Oct. 21 where about 77 workers said they were asking for fair wages and work-life balance, a news release from the union said.
