Ford, UAW reach tentative deal to end labor strikes

Democrats introduce Empowering Striking Workers Act to provide unemployment for striking workers
Today, Representatives Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), and Donald Norcross (D-N.J.), introduced the Empowering Striking Workers Act, new legislation that would ensure workers exercising their legal right to collectively bargain, as well as workers directly impacted, are eligible for unemployment insurance benefits after 14 days of striking.
