SEIU's Mary Kay Henry Announces She Will Not Run For Reelection
Mary Kay Henry, the president of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) has announced she will not run for re-election.
Henry, who replaced former SEIU-president Andy Stern 14 years ago, has led the 2 million-member union and its financial support of the Occupy Wall Street movement, the Fight for $15 and a Union campaign, the campaign to unionize Starbucks, as well as the new Union of Southern Service Workers.
The SEIU’s next president will be determined by delegates at the union’s convention in May.
