Talking About Tariffs: American Compass' Oren Cass on the Sean O'Brien Podcast

With so much discussion and debate over the issue of tariffs and trade wars, Oren Cass, the founder and chief economist of American Compass, joined Teamster President Sean O’Brien’s Better Bad Ideas podcast to discuss a variety of issues, including tariffs.
American Compass is a conservative think tank that seeks to “restore an economic consensus that emphasizes the importance of family, community, and industry to the nation’s liberty and prosperity.”
In sum, Cass and his think tank “are developing the conservative economic agenda to supplant blind faith in free markets with a focus on workers, their families and communities, and the national interest.”
About 45-minutes into O’Brien’s intervew of Cass, who is pro-tariff, the subject turns to tariffs and their impacts.
