Louisville, KY—Union strikers at a Louisville company received a morale boost on their picket lines on Wednesday when Sean O’Brien, the president of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters paid a visit.

O’Brien’s visit comes a day after FireKing announced that it has started hiring temporary “replacement employees” so the plant can return to full operations.

“We remain disappointed that the Union has chosen to go down this path and reject our competitive and generous offer," FireKing CEO Rick Mejia told WDRB.com on Tuesday, "However, we must now move on and do what is best for all of our employees, their families and our customers.”
