WATCH: A U.S. Senator and Teamster boss almost came to blows

A U.S. Senate hearing took a wild turn today when GOP Senator Markwayne Mullin stood up in an apparent attempt to physically fight Teamsters president Sean O’Brien in a Senate HELP committee hearing on Tuesday.

Mullin, who represents Oklahoma, is a former regional-level MMA fighter, and the Teamsters’ O’Brien have had a previous run in who back in June, after O’Brien called Mullin a “clown & fraud” in a post on X.  

Sen. Bernie Sanders, the committee chairman, had to intervene.

“This is a hearing. God knows the American people have enough contempt for Congress, let’s not make it worse,” Sanders said.
